Tufa casting began in the late 1870s which became the traditional way to make silver
Native American Jewelry that we know today.
The method is time consuming, intricate and one of a kind. Each piece is hand carved and then poured to create the desired piece. Since the tufa mold usually cracks or breaks after the first pour each piece is unique to its own.
This buckle was created using these methods.
Along with melted down silver coins, hand mined natural turquoise and hand forged metal stamps this buckle was made with true tradition. This piece encompasses "The Old Style" which only a handful of artist still carry on to this day.
Each piece has the saying “Let Them” engraved on the back along side of 4:13 for Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”
Also each piece is numbered along side of the designers initials and stamped with the jewelers signature!
